Both dark and tormented, but also voluptuous, Squarewave, from Croatia, gets his inspiration from New Era and Electroclash of a certain time to deliver a fine techno music. The artist does not hesitate to take the one step that stands between darkness and martial rhythmic. It creates old-school beatbox loops hosting bass themes droping like monoliths and turning progressively into trance. Sometimes a whisper appears and suddenly vanishes, as if it was to prove that the human still masters his machines. But still, these machines seem so alive. On top of everything else, the artists Catalepsia and Danny Benedettini recorded hypnothic and illuminated remixes of the tracks « Stalker » and « Robot War ». Also, Steve Ekman offers you a mind-blowing remix of the track « Clash » that will teleport you in the stratosphere. To give you a main idea of this EP, imagine a futuristic Twin Peaks where Laura Palmer is found dead in the bathroom of a night club. One sure thing is that Squarewave and his Stalker EP hit hard and last long.
